THE summer flower for me
Tansy has rich, golden scent as well as colour. For me it is the quintessential summer flower. If I get a whiff of it in the middle of winter I'm instantly transported back to a dry, hot summer's day.
Ahhh the spirels inside the faces of the flowers and the absorption of the bee nourish . Evidently Tansy tea was formerly a household medicine and is still used as an anthelmintic and in the treatment of external bruises and inflammations.

There are no Tansies where I live. I hope to smell this small wonder someday.
i'm going to have to make me some tansy essential oil.
